If the base below is not sound, the top will fail, so our installers pay close attention to what sits underneath. We can often lay resin directly over sound existing tarmac or concrete, which saves on excavation costs and skips on your drive.
When starting from scratch, we dig down to solid ground and install a geotextile weed barrier before putting down an open-textured binder course for drainage. The resin mix is then hand-trowelled to an even thickness of around fifteen to eighteen millimetres.
